Barn Land

The vintage barns that line so many of the hillsides of Vermont are some of my favorite architectural elements of the New England landscape. They are almost like lighthouses of the land in many ways, structures that stand through wind and rain and serve as an important tool within our lives as well.

This one is simple and beautiful and and certainly situated one some of the finest land in the area atop the hills of Woodstock.

Hay Harvest

As autumn approaches the harvesting of fields has been in full swing within the rolling hills of Vermont, and I was lucky to catch some of the field work going on finishing up the production of hay for the winter months. This late afternoon scene had a farmer running a John Deere tedder along the green hills with shades of fall foliage beginning to appear on the surround trees.
