Sights like this one are some of the finest in New England if you love rural areas and farmland. With the Green Mountain’s as a backdrop the river valley’s of Vermont have been fertile farming areas for a long time, and they were shining brightly on this early autumn afternoon along the winding roads.
The vintage barns that line so many of the hillsides of Vermont are some of my favorite architectural elements of the New England landscape. They are almost like lighthouses of the land in many ways, structures that stand through wind and rain and serve as an important tool within our lives as well.
This one is simple and beautiful and and certainly situated one some of the finest land in the area atop the hills of Woodstock.
